Mt. Ashland closed Thursday because of water pressure issue

Lack of water pressure at the Mt. Ashland Ski Area's lodge has closed the park for today, according to a text alert sent out this morning.

"Teams are out there right now trying to figure out what the issue is," manager Hiram Towle said in a video posted to Facebook today. "We do have water at the pump house. Things are flowing fine, so we suspect maybe it could be a break in the line somewhere, so we are working on it diligently."

There was no time estimate on when a fix would be completed.

Earlier this week, Mt. Ashland officials announced there were about three weeks of operating days left in the season. Today and Friday were advertised as the last chance to night ski.
