KTVL still uses its old building on Rossanley
I believe it’s been about six months since KTVL moved into the Mail Tribune building and started broadcasting from there. My question is, what’s happening with the old building on Rossanley Drive? I passed by there a few weeks ago and saw a couple of the station’s cars parked outside.

KTVL debuted its new studio in the Mail Tribune building Oct. 28, 2019.
But the old building is still being used, said Susan Connor, vice president and general manager of the station.
A variety of operations remain housed at 1440 Rossanley Dr., including business and sales staff, Connor said. The station’s transmitters are also still on-site, she said, and moving those is no small task.
Other operations, such as the newsroom and studio, shifted to the Mail Tribune building, at 111 N. Fir St. During the pandemic, however, staff who could, including reporters, have been working from home to minimize exposure to COVID-19.
Connor said she doesn’t have a definite answer as to whether the Rossanley Drive building will be vacated entirely.
“I’m not going to answer a what-if, maybe question, unless I have something definite,” she said.
