Nine new COVID-19 cases in Jackson County
Jackson County Public Health reported nine new cases of COVID-19 Monday, bringing the county’s total reported cases to 904, including 176 considered active infectious.
According to Jackson County Public Health, there have been 122 new cases reported over the past seven days, a 6% decrease, while the test positivity rate over the past seven days was 7.1%. Seventy of the 904 cases in Jackson County have led to hospitalizations.
Statewide, the Oregon Health Authority reported 154 new confirmed and presumptive cases and one more death Monday, raising the number of total cases in Oregon to 28,190 and the death toll to 482.
Oregon’s latest COVID-19-related death was a 78-year-old woman in Lane County who tested positive on Aug. 27 and died Saturday at her home. She had underlying conditions.
