13 new COVID-19 cases in Jackson County
Jackson County Public Health reported 13 new COVID-19 cases today, raising the total number of reported cases in the county to 1,034.
Of the total number of cases in Jackson County, 149 are considered active infectious – that is, cases in which patients are currently shedding the virus. There have been four total deaths from the novel coronavirus in Jackson County.
According to the county’s latest figures, 77 of the local cases have led to hospitalizations, including 20 in the 50-to-59 age range.
Statewide, the Oregon Health Authority reported five more deaths related to COVID-19 and 266 new cases Saturday, raising the state’s death toll to 525 and the total number of cases to 30,599.
