Jackson County libraries hosting book and toy drive for locals affected by wildfires

Jackson County Library Services will hold a book and toy drive for youth affected by wildfires through Sunday, Sept. 27, according to a news release.

Donations of “gently used” books toys and games appropriate for young children and teens will be accepted from noon to 4 p.m. every day except Thursday, Sept. 24, in Medford branch’s lobby, 205 S. Central Ave.

Donations of stuffed animals, blankets and clothes cannot be accepted. Donated items will be temporarily stored away, an effort intended to mitigate the potential spread of COVID-19, the release said. Families in need can pick up items at the Ashland, Central Point, Jacksonville and White City branches starting Thursday, Oct. 1 during library hours.
