Dateline NBC to feature Tucker Reed case Friday
I heard that Dateline NBC is going to highlight the case of Tucker Reed, who was found guilty of shooting her uncle in Ruch. When’s that supposed to air?
— No name given
The TV newsmagazine will cover the drama in the case of Aisling Tucker Moore-Reed and her manslaughter conviction with an episode titled “A Killer Role” at 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, on NBC, according to the network’s website.
We haven’t seen Dateline NBC correspondent Keith Morrison’s report yet, but we’re quite familiar with Reed’s story and its many plot twists — from the secret recording of the shooting of her uncle, Shane Moore, that took years to surface, to the surprise of her starring film role in a locally produced horror film “From the Dark,” shot while she was out on bail, which reportedly culminated with a scene in which Reed fires a gun.
Reed, who has written books under the pen name Tucker Reed and acted in at least one film role under the stage name Wyn Reed, pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter in June, and is serving a 75-month prison sentence. Oregon Department of Corrections records show she is now in the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville, and her earliest release date is Nov. 25, 2024.
