Free COVID-19 protective supplies available for businesses
Business Oregon and the Jackson County Emergency Operations Center have teamed up to create a depot for the distribution of free COVID-19 personal protective equipment to local businesses.
The depot is open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 16 at the Jackson County Expo, 1 Peninger Road, Central Point. Enter through Gate 3.
“This is a difficult time for businesses. We hope that this no-cost PPE will help to slow the spread of COVID-19 and help companies in our county,” said Expo Director Helen Funk, who has been helping with emergency operations center tasks this year.
The equipment is available to all Jackson County businesses and has been pre-packaged for no-contact distribution. Packages include surgical masks, disinfectant spray, alcohol-based wet wipes, non-alcohol sanitizing wipes, non-sterile gloves in sizes medium and large, and no-touch thermometers.
Businesses that have questions or need to coordinate a pickup can contact Funk at 541-774-8274 or email JC_EOC_Logistics@jacksoncounty.org.
