Cascade Siskiyou National Monument seeks artists

The Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument is accepting applications for its artist in residence program.

The artist will receive a one- to two-week residency at monument facilities during July 2021, according to a news release.

Artists share their work in a public presentation, and following the residency donate at least one digital image of their completed work. They retain the original work and the copyright.

“Artwork may be used in exhibits and for educational purposes. In addition artwork may be used by nonprofit partners for items such as postcards, posters and similar items,” the artist in residence website says.

Artists in previous years have produced works that ranged from watercolors to musical compositions.

To apply, see www.blm.gov/get-involved/artist-in-residence/air-sites/cascade-siskiyou. For information, email jbrumm@blm.gov or call 541-618-2256.
