Vaccine clinic offered to homeless at St. Vincent de Paul

A free COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be held from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Monday, May 10, at St. Vincent de Paul in Medford.

“We’re concerned that many of the homeless haven’t been vaccinated,” said Rich Hansen with St. Vincent de Paul.

He said many homeless people appear to be reluctant to get the shot.

The walk-thru clinic will be in St. Vincent’s parking lot adjacent to the dining room where lunches are offered Monday through Friday. St. Vincent is located at 2424 N. Pacific Highway.

Sponsored by the Oregon Health Authority and Jackson County Public Health, the clinic will offer the Pfizer vaccine for anyone 16 and older. No reservations are required and anyone is welcome.

Mercy Flights will be operating the clinic.
