Jackson County reports its highest weekly COVID-19 total
Jackson County Public Health reported 626 new COVID-19 cases during the week of July 25, the most the county has had in any week since the pandemic began.
Over the weekend, Jackson County reported Monday, the county saw 132 new COVID-19 cases and one death, an 81-year-old woman who died July 29 at her residence.
Statewide, OHA reported 2,506 new cases Monday and five more deaths.
Jackson County's 132 cases were the fourth-most in Oregon. Josephine County had 116 new cases, which was the sixth-most.
Eighty-three people in Jackson and Josephine counties were hospitalized Monday with COVID, with 340 people hospitalized with COVID-19 statewide, including 102 people in intensive care.
In Jackson and Josephine counties, 50 of the available 57 ICU beds were in use Monday.
