COVID-19 outbreaks continue to impact a cross section of nursing homes, schools, stores and other workplaces in Jackson County, according to the latest Oregon Health Authority workplace outbreak report from Aug. 11.

To protect privacy, OHA only reports COVID-19 outbreaks of five or more people at workplaces with at least 30 workers.

The outbreak case counts include all known people linked to the outbreak, including household members and other close contacts.

OHA reported outbreaks at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (61 cases); Harry & David (13 cases); Costco (nine cases); Sherm's Food 4 Less (nine cases); Lighthouse Worldwide (six cases) and Carestream Health (five cases.)

The state reported the outbreak at Asante in a press release before the release of the Aug. 11 workplace outbreak report.

Asante workers are caring for a surge of COVID-19 patients and appear to be catching the virus both at work and out in the community, health officials said.

For child care centers and schools, OHA reported outbreaks at Little Sprouts Learning and Enrichment (nine cases); New Heights Christian School & Early Learning (three cases) and Talent Elementary School (two cases.)

OHA releases information on COVID outbreaks involving nursing homes, senior communities and other group living centers when there are at least three cases or one death.

OHA reported active outbreaks at Lakeland Senior Living (seven cases, one death); Farmington Square (40 cases, six deaths); Avamere Health Services of Rogue Valley (four cases); Bartlett House of Medford Memory Care Community (three cases) and Linda Vista Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (three cases, one death.)
