Jackson County reports 146 new COVID-19 cases
Jackson County Public Health reported 146 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday and three additional COVID-19-related deaths.
Those who passed away were a 79-year-old woman with underlying conditions, a 56-year-old man with underlying conditions and a 98-year-old man with underlying conditions.
The county has recorded 243 COVID-19-related deaths during the pandemic.
As of Wednesday at 11 a.m., the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 stood at 180 and there were 53 patients with COVID-19 in intensive care in Jackson and Josephine county hospitals, Jackson County Public Health said.
Statewide, the Oregon Healthy Authority reported 2,069 new COVID-19 cases and 46 new deaths.
The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 in Oregon was 1,067 Wednesday, 15 fewer than Tuesday. There were 294 COVID-19 patients in intensive care, six more than Tuesday, OHA said.
Statewide, there were 50 available adult ICU beds out of 653 total, including six open beds for Jackson and Josephine counties, OHA said Wednesday.
