Vaccine site at The Expo relocating
The popular drive-thru COVID-19 vaccination site at the Jackson County Expo in Central Point will be closed Tuesday due to winter weather, then reopen Wednesday at a new location in downtown Medford.
The vaccination site will become a walk-thru site at the Merrick, formerly known as Inn at the Commons, at 200 N. Riverside Ave., Medford.
As a drive-thru site at The Expo, the vaccination clinic provided hundreds of shots daily. The clinic is one of many mass vaccination sites operated around the state by the Oregon Health Authority.
Jackson County Public Health officials said they will be providing additional information soon about the new site in Medford, including information about where to park and where to enter for vaccination.
The company Curative will continue to offer COVID-19 testing at The Expo until further notice. That testing site is closed Tuesday due to weather.
