Jackson County reports 144 new COVID-19 cases

Jackson County reported 144 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday and no additional COVID-19-related deaths.

Statewide, the Oregon Health Authority reported 2,331 new COVID-19 cases and nine deaths.

Josephine County reported 45 new COVID-19 cases and the COVID-19-related deaths of a 74-year-old woman, an 83-year-old man and a 91-year-old woman. OHA didn’t know yet on Wednesday whether they had underlying health conditions.

The four hospitals in Jackson and Josephine counties had six open intensive care unit beds Wednesday, with 53 occupied.

There were 35 open non-ICU hospital beds, with 409 occupied.

Rogue Valley hospitals were caring for 67 patients with COVID-19 on Wednesday. Of those, 14 were in ICU beds, with eight on ventilators.
