Rogue Credit Union donates $137,000 for children’s medical care
Rogue Credit Union presented the Asante Foundation with a $137,000 check this week — and also surprised a 3-year-old leukemia patient with a child-sized electric car.
The funds will benefit the Pediatric Unit at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford.
Avery, a young girl with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, received a red, Jeep-style electric vehicle with rugged wheels. She is receiving care at Asante.
Rogue Credit Union workers and customers raised money through a variety of fundraisers in 2021 to make the gifts possible. The credit union said it also received a $6,600 Miracle Match from Co-op Financial Services to add to the total.
In the past six years, Rogue Credit Union has raised over $625,000 for children’s health at Asante, the region’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
Rogue Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative with over 184,000 members in Oregon and Idaho.
