COVID-19 outbreaks in senior facilities, schools still trending

The Oregon Health Authority’s weekly coronavirus outbreak report showed that Jackson and Josephine counties still had a relatively high number of infections in schools and facilities for seniors, but not as many at day care operations or workplaces.

The data — for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 30 — shows senior living communities tended to have cases in the double-digits.

Some schools had dozens of COVID-19 cases among students, including Grants Pass High School (61 students, five adults), South Middle School (30 students), Central Point Elementary (26 students, three adults), Crater High School (24 students, two adults) and Eagle Point High School (22 students, four adults).

Jackson County: Lakeland Senior Living (11 cases), Hearthstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (18 cases), Ridgeview Assisted Living Facility (11 cases), Brookdale Ashland (10 cases, one death), Avamere at Waterford Assisted Living Facility (11 cases, one death), Avamere at Three Fountains (32 cases), Skylark Assisted Living (17 cases, one death), The Springs at Veranda Park (four cases), Farmington Square - Medford (17 cases), Weatherly Court (five cases), Rogue Valley Manor (10 cases), Linda Vista Nursing & Rehab Center (13 cases), Celia's House in Holmes Park (six cases), Springs at Anna Maria (12 cases), Pioneer Village (14 cases), Memory Support Center at Rogue Valley Manor (three cases), Pear Valley Senior Living (21 cases, one death), Ashley Manor - Brookhurst (nine cases), Fountain Plaza (11 cases), Village at Valley View (16 cases), Roxy Ann Memory Community (11 cases), Kinsington Oak Grove (seven cases).

Josephine County: Walmart Supercenter-Grants Pass (86 cases), Josephine County Jail (36 cases), American Medical Response (19 cases), Rogue Valley Youth Correctional Facility (13 cases), WinCo Foods (13 cases), Fire Mountain Gems (10 cases), Rogue Valley Door (seven cases)

Child care facilities

Josephine County: Ms. Shelley's Preschool and Early Learning Center (two cases).

No child care centers in Jackson County were listed in the report with an active outbreak.
