Sen. Wyden to hold virtual town hall Friday

U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden

U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, will hold a virtual town hall meeting in Jackson County at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The event will be held live via Facebook. Visit www.facebook.com/events/1006910756590349/ to watch or to submit a question before the event.

First elected to the Senate in 1996, Wyden has held more than 1,000 town halls in fulfillment of his pledge to hold at least one town hall meeting a year in each of Oregon’s 36 counties. Many of the meetings have gone virtual during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Nothing has been more important in my public service than keeping my promise to listen to Oregonians in each county each year. And coming off my recent 1,000th town hall, I want all Oregonians to know I’m going to continue that commitment to have these conversations every year in every one of our 36 counties,” Wyden said.

This month, Wyden is also holding online town hall meetings for the residents of Klamath, Malheur, Harney, Grant and Baker counties.
