Jackson County reports 17 new COVID-19 cases
The Oregon Health Authority reported 17 new COVID-19 cases for Jackson County Friday and one COVID-19-related death.
A 63-year-old woman with underlying health conditions died March 16 at Providence Medford Medical Center, OHA said.
OHA reported eight new COVID-19 cases in Josephine County Friday and one COVID-19-related death.
A 79-year-old man with underlying conditions died Jan. 31 at his residence, OHA said.
Statewide, OHA reported 289 new COVID-19 cases Friday and 11 additional deaths. Those who died passed away in December, January, February and March, according to OHA.
There were 215 patients with the virus in Oregon hospitals on Friday. Hospitals in Jackson and Josephine counties were caring for 25 COVID-19 patients, according to hospitalization data.
