Commentary: Title IX
Chances are you do know that Title IX was designed to bring equality into the 20th Century for women. Certainly, if you are the parent of a young girl athlete, you are aware that high schools and colleges need to have equal athletic programs and disbursements available. But if you are a little fuzzy, Larry Mendte will explain details in this Commentary and then talk about how Title IX may soon be changed. Is the change just the natural progression of American culture embracing expanded definitions of equality, or, as Larry makes the case, there are consequences that will impact the young girls and female students in college it was meant to protect? We invite you to watch, then write to Larry and let him know what you agree or disagree about. He will write you back. firstname.lastname@example.org.
