PG&E Cuts Power to Millions of Californians

After active power lines played a role in last year's wildfires in California, Power Gas & Electric (PG&E) is being cautious with intentional blackouts. Extreme winds are the root cause for these blackouts, and officials say once the wind dies down, there will be safety checks before turning the power back on. Blackouts are expected to last a few days.

PG&E has implemented blackouts for thousands of customers in northern California due to severe winds. The preemptive measure hopes to prevent wildfires.
