Friday Night Football: Ashland Shuts Out Eagle Point at Home

The Ashland Grizzlies hosted the Eagle Point Eagles in a cross-county Midwestern League rivalry.

With a 48-0 win, Ashland stayed undefeated and improves to 6-0 on the season.

A balanced attack through the air and on the ground made the Grizzlies offense tough to stop, as Ashland rolled to a 35-0 first-half start.

The win keeps Ashland tied atop the league standings, and that two-team tie will be broken next week when the Grizzlies travel to face 5-1 Crater. Both teams are tied atop the MWL's South Division with a 2-0 record in league play.

Meanwhile, Eagle Point drops to 2-4 on the year and will head north next week to face Churchill in Eugene.

The Ashland defense shutout Eagle Point, while the Grizzlies balanced attack on offense could not be stopped on the way to a 48-0 victory on Friday night. Ashland is now 6-0 on the season and Eagle Point drops to 2-4.
