Campers in Hawthorne Park Given Another Notice
A homeless camp at Hawthorne Park in Medford, Oregon received another Public Notice of Illegal Camping on Monday morning. People now have until Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. to disperse from the area. It is a deadline that is five days earlier than Saturday's public notice that gave people a week to find a place to relocate too.
On Monday, Medford police were at the park trying to assist people in finding a new place to set up their tents. There were also limited available spots at shelters around the city.
Fred Mack has been camping at Hawthorne Park with his wife for the past week and shared his thoughts on the situation.
