Grants Pass Finalizes New Water Plant Location
After over 2 years of negotiation, the city of Grants Pass finally came to terms with the owners of Copeland Gravel on the new location for the water treatment plant. The old plant is falling apart and could have catastrophic failure in the event of an earthquake, according to Public Works Manager Jason Canady. It also has an expansion expectancy of 15 years. The new plant, expected to complete construction in around 2026, is expected to not only be stable in catastrophic events, but be sustainable for the city for up to the next 80 years.
