Michelle Renae Hall and Thomas John Avalos were married Aug. 5 at the Riverhouse in Shady Cove. Pastor Christopher M. Reed officiated.

The bride is the daughter of John and Debbie Hall of Medford, and Vaughn and Maryann Beam of Gold Hill. A 1988 graduate of Crater High School in Central Point, she is a claims analyst with Regence Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Medford.

The groom is the son of John and Sue Avalos of Grants Pass. He is a 1999 graduate of Brighton Academy in Grants Pass. He received an associate's degree from Rogue Community College in 2002, and a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2007 from Southern Oregon University in Ashland. He is a police dispatcher with the City of Medford.

Maid of honor was Nikki Loper of Grants Pass. Bridesmaids were Michelle Checkman of Roy, Utah, and Danielle Bristow of Medford. Junior bridesmaid was the groom's sister, Alicia Avalos of Grants Pass.

Best man was Roman Smyth of Grants Pass. Groomsmen were the groom's brothers, Dan Avalos of Medford and Reuben Avalos of Halsey.

Ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Shay Hall of Sams Valley.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds hosted a reception at the Riverhouse in Shady Cove.

After a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the newlyweds are living in Central Point.
