Leslie Ann Parkes and Brian Philip Kolkemo were married Sept. 7 at The Riverhouse in Shady Cove. Pastor Troy Pomeroy officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Phillip and Twila Parkes of Medford. A 2001 graduate of North Medford High School, she received a bachelor's degree in communication/photojournalism in 2006 from Southern Oregon University in Ashland. She is a legal secretary with Black, Chapman, Webber and Stevens in Medford.

The groom is the son of Bob and Carol Kolkemo of Sams Valley. A 2000 graduate of North Medford High School, he is pursuing a bachelor's degree in business marketing at Southern Oregon University. He is a public safety officer at SOU in Ashland.

Maid of honor was Nicole Harwood-Sloan of Eugene. Bridesmaids were Tabitha McKenna of Klamath Falls and Annette Nicovich of Lake Oswego.

Best man was the groom's father, Bob Kolkemo of Sams Valley. Groomsmen were the groom's brother, Alan Kolkemo of Camas, Wash., and Jon Martin of Medford.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Riverhouse.

After a cruise to the Mexican Riviera, the newlyweds are living in Medford.
