Melanie Anne Scott and William Tate Robbins III were married Aug. 16 at University Christian Center in Seattle. The bride's father, Rev. Robert Scott, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Anne Scott of Medford. A 2002 graduate of Cascade Christian High School, she received a bachelor's degree in visual communication from Seattle Pacific University in 2006. She is a graphic designer with Prowess Consulting, LLC, in Seattle.
The groom is the son of Tate and Rosina Robbins of Alger, Wash. A 2000 graduate of Burlington-Edison High School, he received a bachelor's degree in computer-integrated manufacturing systems in 2004 from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. He is a manufacturing engineer with Softmechanix in Kent, Wash.
Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Jessica Reed of Medford. The matron of honor's escort was the bride's nephew, Keith Reed of Medford. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Garton of Seattle, Heidi Brown of Rochester, N.Y., Renee Bowman of Medford, and Amy Roseberg of Portland.
Best man was the groom's cousin, Cody Barmuth of Bellingham, Wash. Groomsmen were Scott Schloemer of Renton, Wash., the groom's brother-in-law, Eric Nelson of Noblesville, Ind., and Aaron Johnson of Burlington, Wash.
Candlelighters were the bride's cousins, Laura Scott of Philadelphia and Nancy Dahlby of Kansas City, Mo.
Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the University Christian Church reception hall.
After a wedding trip to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, the newlyweds are living in Burien, Wash.
