Heather Hayden and Ryan E. Marrs were married July 17 at Village Green Resort in Cottage Grove. Pastor Judith Sayler officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Al and Linda Hayden of Salem. A 2000 graduate of McKay High School in Salem, she received a bachelor's degree in 2004 from the University of Oregon in Eugene. In 2007, she received a master's degree in teaching from Southern Oregon University in Ashland. She is an elementary school teacher.
The groom is the son of Rick and Cheri Marrs of Medford. A 2000 graduate of North Medford High School, he received a bachelor's degree in 2004 from the University of Oregon. He is a gang outreach counselor at On Track in Medford.
Maid of honor was Lexie Sleight of Portland. Bridesmaids were the groom's sisters, Allyson Marrs of Eugene and Lindsay Marrs of Mesa, Ariz.; Tracy La Bianca of Denver and Amanda Cregan of Medford.
Best man was Michael Juba of Denver.
Groomsmen were Phil Clark of Portland, John McNeil of Portland, Todd Kruger of Eugene and the bride's brother, Ryan Hayden of Salem.
Flower girls were the bride's cousins Becky and Beth Abbott.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds hosted a reception at the Village Green Resort.
After a wedding trip to the Oregon Coast, the newlyweds are living in Medford.
