Emily Alden Burrill and Lt. Kevin Barry Smyth were married July 4 at Heritage House Farm and Gardens in Aurora. Pastor Bill Tipton officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Tamara Bee Burrill of Central Point and the late Kevin Alden Burrill of Prospect. A 2003 graduate of Cascade Christian High School in Jacksonville, she received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 2007 and a master's degree in business administration (MBA) in 2008, both from Oregon State University in Corvallis. She is the grants and community relations coordinator at the University of Great Falls in Great Falls, Mont.
The groom is the son of Edward Barry Smyth of Great Falls, Mont., and Mary Gail Russ of Clarksville, Tenn. A 2003 graduate of C.M. Russell High School in Great Falls, Mont., he received a bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering in 2008 from Oregon State University. He is a lieutenant and missile maintenance officer in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Great Falls, Mont.
Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Rebecca Litwiller of Central Point. Bridesmaids were Candace Hargrave, Lisa Luchaco and Emily Barry, all of Portland, Lori Jan Metre of Independence, and Meridith Johnson of Medford.
Best man was the groom's brother, James Smyth of Great Falls, Mont. Groomsmen were Lt. Billy Doeschl, USAF, West Linn,; Lt. Nick Anderson, USAF, Troutdale; Lt. Logan Marcucci, USAF, Damascus; Lt. Tyler Tipton, USAF, Roseburg; and Lt. Isaiah Thomason, USAF, Stayton.
Flower girls were the groom's cousins, Moira and Emma Johnson, both of Clarksville, Tenn.
Ring bearer was the bride's cousin, Kyle Moore of Wilsonville.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their parents hosted a reception at Heritage House Farm and Gardens.
The newlyweds will take a wedding trip to Hawaii in January.
They are living in Great Falls, Mont.
