Ashley McCollum and James Nicol were married Sept. 12 at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver. Andrew Mullins, the maid of honor's father, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Kathy McCollum of Medford. A 2000 graduate of South Medford High School, she received a bachelor's degree in 2004 from the University of San Diego. She received a master's degree in business administration in 2007 from Seattle University. She is the project manager with DepotPoint in Bellevue, Wash.

The groom is the son of Gorham and Robin Nicol of West Linn. A 2000 graduate of West Linn High School, he received a bachelor's degree in 2004 from the University of San Diego. He is the vice president of marketing at Easybour in Tualatin.

Maid of honor was Merrill Behnke of Seattle. Bridesmaids were Alexandra Bryant of London, Hayley Robertson of San Diego, Kara Esselstrom of Medford, and the groom's sisters, Adrian Kettering of Morgantown, W.Va., and Lindsay Elston of Bellevue, Wash.

Best men were Evan Owens of Los Angeles, and Brett Gillespie of San Diego. Groomsmen were Ben Metcalf of Portland, Ryan Holmes of Seattle, Brendan Inglis of Honolulu, Sam Quigley of San Diego and the bride's brother, Jonathan McCollum of Washington, D.C.

Ushers were Seth Parks of Medford, and the groom's nephew, Gard Elston of Belleview, Wash.

Flower girl was the groom's niece, Natalie Elston of Bellevue, Wash.

Ring bearer was the groom's nephew, Paxon Kettering of Morgantown, W.Va.

Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Sunriver Resort.

After a wedding trip to Italy, the newlyweds are living in La Jolla, Calif.
