April Lorraine Jorgensen and Marco Thorson were married June 26 at the San Diego Temple of the Church of the Latter-day Saints.
Jorgensen is the daughter of Roy and Lois Jorgensen of Ashland. A graduate of Ashland High School, she attended Brigham Young University in Hawaii for three years, and has now transferred to BYU, Utah to finish her degree. She works at the front desk at the Hilton Hotel in Provo, Utah.
Thorson is the son of Mark and Tatjana Thorson of Ramona, Calif. A graduate of Ramona High School, he is a student at Brigham Young University in Utah, where he received a full-ride football scholarship.
Maid of honor was Rachel Fine of Ashland. Bridesmaids were Carly Jorgensen of Virginia; the groom's sister, Nicole Thorson of Ramona, Calif.; Jenny Estep of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Sharisse Barber of Iowa; and the bride's cousin, Heather Case of Ashland. Junior bridesmaid was the groom's sister, Nina Thorson of Ramona, Calif.
Best man was Tyler McDaniel of Trabuco Canyon, Calif. Groomsmen were David Oakes of Poway, Calif.; the bride's brothers, Steve Jorgensen of Ashland, Chris Jorgensen of Central Point and Aaron San Nicolas of Ashland; and the bride's cousin, Houston Case of Ashland. Junior groomsman was the groom's brother, Michael Thorson of Ramona, Calif. The usher was the bride's foster brother, Zach Miller of Ashland. Flower girl was the bride's niece, Kamilah Jorgensen of San Pedro, Calif.
There were two receptions. The first was hosted by the groom's parents on June 26, in San Diego with a Bahia Resort Bay Cruise. The second was hosted by the bride's parents on July 6 at the Ashland Springs Hotel.
After a honeymoon to the island of Kauai in Hawaii, the newlyweds are living in Provo, Utah.
